Money is how we get the things we want and need!
🤔 THINK ABOUT IT: Imagine you have some yummy cookies. Your friend has a cool toy. You could TRADE your cookies for the toy!
But what if your friend doesn’t WANT cookies? What if they want pizza? 🍕
That’s where MONEY helps! Money is something EVERYONE agrees is valuable.
So instead of trading cookies for toys, we use money!

✨ How Money Makes It Easy:

💵 CHAPTER 2: TYPES OF MONEY 💵
Money comes in different forms! Let’s learn about them:
🪙 COINS
Coins are round and made of metal. They go CLINK CLINK in your piggy bank!
🥉 Pennies are brown (1 cent)
⚪ Nickels are bigger (5 cents)
⚪ Dimes are tiny but worth more! (10 cents)
⚪ Quarters are the biggest (25 cents)
🤯 WOW! 100 pennies = 1 dollar! Can you count that high? 💯
💵 PAPER MONEY (BILLS)
Paper money is also called ‘bills’ or ‘notes.’
They have pictures of important people on them!
1️⃣ $1 bill – George Washington 🇺🇸
5️⃣ $5 bill – Abraham Lincoln 🎩
🔟 $10 bill – Alexander Hamilton 🎭
2️⃣0️⃣ $20 bill – Andrew Jackson
💳 CARDS
Have you seen your parents use a card to pay? That’s like MAGIC money!
The card tells the store: ‘Don’t worry, they have money in the bank!’
📱 PHONE MONEY
Now people can even pay with their PHONES! 📲
You just tap your phone and… BEEP! You paid!
📝 REMEMBER: Money can be coins, paper, cards, or even on your phone! They all let you buy things.
🏭 CHAPTER 3: WHERE DOES MONEY COME FROM? 🏭
❓ Have you ever wondered who MAKES money?
The GOVERNMENT makes money! They have special buildings called ‘mints.’
🏦 How Paper Money is Made:
1️⃣ Special paper (not regular paper!) made from cotton
2️⃣ Special ink that changes color! ✨
3️⃣ Tiny pictures you need a magnifying glass to see 🔍
4️⃣ A special strip inside the paper
5️⃣ Bumpy lines you can feel with your fingers
All of this makes it REALLY hard for bad guys to make fake money!
🤯 WOW! The government uses 8.9 TONS of ink EVERY DAY to print money! That’s heavier than an elephant! 🐘

🎮 You earn money by doing chores – it goes RIGHT to your account

🌙 You go to sleep knowing exactly where every penny went
👴 Your Grandkids Will Ask…
❓ ‘Grandma/Grandpa, what was PAPER money?’
And you’ll tell them stories about:
